When Religion Breeds Laziness

Many believers have confused faith with passivity during their spiritual walk. We call it “waiting on God” but often its masked in complacency, fear or avoidance. We keep repeating “God will make a way” but never take a step forward. It’s like waiting or job while never taking the step, to start the application process. We hide behind prayer meetings and spiritual talk, while neglecting responsibility, stewardship and obedience.

Faith was never meant to make us lazy, it was meant to make up alive. It was supposed to propel us toward obedience, growth and courage.

Think about the early church. They didn’t sit around waiting for a sign, they became the sign. They didn’t ask God to move, but they moved because they knew God was with them.

But sadly, many believers have traded purpose for passive. They have replaced conviction with convenience. They have mistaken spiritual busyness for fruitfulness and spiritual waiting for holiness. They have become experts at talking about revival while avoiding repentance.

Real faith doesn’t make excuses. It co-creates and builds with God. It plants, it take risks and it obeys.

Faith works because faith moves. Religion without movement is just comfort wrapped in piety. God never called us to sit still, He call us to follow.
